Football Notes

Football Notes is an independent football-inspired Obsidian theme for writing days that need a little stadium light without turning the vault into a poster. The default palette uses pitch green, chalk white, trophy gold, charcoal, and restrained red/orange accents across editor surfaces, sidebars, tabs, links, tags, checkboxes, tables, code blocks, callouts, and selected states.

Style Settings Requirement

The default Football Classic look loads as a normal Obsidian theme. To switch between the team colorways, install and enable the Style Settings plugin, then open Style Settings -> Football Notes -> Palette.

Without Style Settings, Obsidian can still load the theme, but it will stay on the default Football Classic palette.

Manual Install

Place this folder at:

.obsidian/themes/Football Notes

Then open Obsidian, go to Appearance, and choose Football Notes.

Each palette changes semantic theme colors such as the main writing surface, sidebars, active tabs, headings, links, checkboxes, tags, tables, callouts, and selected UI states while keeping long-form reading contrast calm.

The included screenshot.png is a designed theme-market cover rather than a plain app screenshot. cover-source.png keeps the full-size source image, and screenshot.png is the 512 x 288 store-ready crop.

Palette surfaces are tuned for notes first: light mode uses pale paper with dark text, dark mode uses deep surfaces with light text, and team colors appear through tint, stripes, accents, active states, and component surfaces.

Release Notes

For an Obsidian Community theme release, attach manifest.json and theme.css to the GitHub release whose tag exactly matches the manifest version, for example the current 1.0.1 release.
